Big Sis & Hairstyles

As you can tell by the permanent smile on her face, Noelle enjoys being a big sister. She talks about how little Jared is, brings him toys and blankets, and gave his head a good rubbing to see how soft his hair is.

The nurse enjoyed styling his hair for the camera.

Being a big sister is hard work.

He's Here!

Jared Christopher arrived at 12:31 p.m. today and is doing great! He weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. He has been very happy and content so far. He ate well this evening and then was alert for the next couple of hours. We think he looks a lot like Noelle did when she was born. Jared definitely has a head full of hair like Noelle (you can see a baby picture of her here).

Thank you so much for praying for us. We will continue to update over the next few days.

Baby Update

No, Jared hasn't come yet, but he will tomorrow! We just got back from the doctor, and Jared is doing great. The doctor expects him to be 8-8.5 pounds (although Sarah is really hoping for a 14-pound baby).

We will go to the hospital at 5:00 tomorrow morning to be induced. Jared should arrive sometime tomorrow afternoon. Check back for updates and pictures.

Thank you for praying for us.

Fun in the snow

Noelle has had tons of fun playing in the snow the past few days; however, truth be told, Chris has had the most fun. He's acted like a 5-year-old ever since it started snowing on Thursday.

White Christmas (Eve)

Big Milestone

Noelle's first profanity. (Don't worry, it was accidental!)

Yesterday, I peeled an orange for her at dinner. She asked what the white part is that's left on the orange segments. I told her it's called the pith. She proceeded to say:

"I don't like the orange pi**! I don't want the pi**!"

My bad. I guess I need to work on my pronunciation.
