This has been a busy month for Jared! He has gone from barely scooting around to full-out army crawling. He isn't fast because he isn't up on his knees yet, but he definitely moves with purpose and is getting faster every day. Noelle's description of this stage is, "When you sit Jared up, and then he falls to his tummy...then he crawls and gets all the no-no's." Pretty accurate! The bookshelf is one of his favorites.
Jared is sitting up independently really well. He's pretty graceful when he falls, too. He's learned how to get onto his tummy without bonking his head too badly. Now that he's sitting up, bath time is SO much easier!
Solid food is going well. He'll eat whatever we give him, although he doesn't seem to care for cereal much. We normally just mix it with whatever fruit or veggie he's getting and he eats it OK. Apparently he gets plenty of beta-carotene, as you can see from his orange nose. :-)
He can now get his foot in his mouth. Noelle thinks this is a major accomplishment.
He's wearing 6-9 month clothes and moved up to size 3 diapers.
Now that he's more mobile, Jared and Noelle are starting to "play" together. These pictures are showing them pushing a box back and forth. She continues to be very sweet to him.
He got his first cold this month. He never got horribly sick or cranky, but he had a runny nose and was congested. After several days of this he started pulling his ears, so I took him to the doctor thinking he must have an ear infection. Three hours (!!!) later I find out that he didn't have an ear infection...apparently, he just thought his ears were a new, fun toy.
And some of the best news...Jared is spitting up much less!
