Good Morning

Over the past several days these are the first things that Noelle has said when she woke up in the morning:
  • Good morning princess
  • Basketball
  • Upside-down
  • I need bananaraisinscereal
  • I need to jump
  • I need to dust
  • I need to touch a buffalo

For those of you who really just want to see pictures, here are some of Noelle reading in her room.

Observations from the car

Noelle, Sarah, and I were driving yesterday and got stuck in traffic. As we were inching along, Noelle and I had the following conversation:

Noelle: "I see a rainbow! I see a rainbow!"

Chris: "I don't think there's a rainbow outside."

-- 30 second pause --

Noelle: "Oh. It's just a flag."

I looked out the window, and indeed she was correct. There was an American flag blowing in the wind.

No me gusta Español

We recently discovered that Noelle prefers for us to speak with her in English.

Name the Blog

Noelle's taking a nap, Sarah's sewing, and I'm bored. I want to change the title of our blog, but I'm not very creative. I'm leaving this title up (from my favorite episode of The Office) until Sarah or someone else can give me a better one.

Start firing away with ideas. I'm open to most anything (though Sarah doesn't want our last name or city in it because she is paranoid that someone will stalk her).

NKOTB

That's right...New Kids on the Block! When I watched the Today Show this morning, there they were performing all of their old songs! I think they announced their tour a while back, but I just happened to see them this morning. So many memories... That was the first concert that I went to as a pre-adolescent. What cracked me up was seeing all of the 30-something year olds who were acting like 5th graders. Don't get me wrong, if I lived close to NY I would have been there, too.

I wanted to share a funny story about NKOTB, though. When I was in 3rd grade (I think) I was invited to a birthday party of a friend who was a little older than me and was totally IN LOVE with them. She and the other girls knew all of the songs already, but I didn't really know what they were all talking about. Well, at some point in the party they were singing and dancing to the songs. I decided that since I didn't know the words, I would lay down on the floor, stick my foot up in the air and pretend to be their microphone. Wow...that is so lame!! But I hope you got a laugh out of it.

A Weekend of Fun!

Noelle got to spend time with Gram and Baba last weekend. When they arrived, I couldn't tell who was more excited. All I remember is that there was lots of jumping and screaming with joy from all three of them.
